    Don’t panic.

    Stay calm. Do not send more money or share more information with the scammer.

  2. 02

    Screenshot everything.

    Messages, call logs, account numbers and transaction details. It is your evidence.

  3. 03

    Block the scammer.

    Block their number or account on WhatsApp, Instagram, or wherever they contacted you.

  4. 04

    Call your bank now.

    If money left your account, call your bank right away and ask them to freeze the transaction. Use the number on the back of your card.

  5. 05

    File a report.

    Report it to the EFCC or the Nigeria Police on the numbers here.

  6. 06
